Machined components for a Saudi industrial contractor — qualified in Türkiye, delivered to Riyadh

A contractor supplying Saudi plant operators needed precision-machined parts with full documentation, without the lead times and qualification risk of Far East sourcing.

The challenge

The contractor supplied replacement and spare components to plant operators in the Kingdom. Their existing route was Far East sourcing: long lead times, minimums that forced them to hold stock they did not need, and drawings that came back with 'improvements' nobody had approved. Every new part number meant re-qualifying an unfamiliar workshop, and the documentation their clients demanded — material certificates, dimensional reports — was inconsistent.

Our approach

  1. 01

Reviewed the technical drawings first and flagged the tolerances, materials and finishes that would drive cost before asking a single workshop to quote.

  2. 02

Shortlisted ISO-certified machining shops across the Bursa, Konya and Ankara (OSTİM) clusters, matched to part size and volume rather than to whoever was cheapest.

  3. 03

Ran first-article inspection with a dimensional report against every drawing, and locked the approved sample as the reference standard for all repeat orders.

  4. 04

Set up a documentation pack per shipment — material certificates, inspection reports, photographs — so the contractor could pass it straight to their own client.

  5. 05

Consolidated parts from several workshops into single shipments to the Kingdom, with export paperwork handled in Türkiye.

The result

The contractor now works from an approved-sample standard rather than re-qualifying a new supplier for every part number, receives the documentation their end clients require with each delivery, and orders in the quantities they actually need instead of buying to a distant factory's minimum. Repeat parts move from order to dispatch in a fraction of the previous cycle.
